Design

Dar Menara has hired two of the best architectural firms in Tunisia to design a harmonious and balanced architecture that blends into the countryside. In an effort to minimize environmental impacts, the project will employ as many local materials in the construction process as possible, principal among these being stone and regionally sourced lumber. Sand and cement used for masonry work will be sourced on site. Structures will be located & sized to have minimum environmental impacts. The Project will employ locally sourced labor and will provide training in traditional as well as modern construction techniques. To the maximum extent possible, cast iron grates, door and window hinges, as well as terra cotta tile and fabrics will be manufactured regionally. Work crews will live on the site during construction phase.
